چکیده
Abstract In this work, a techno-economic assessment of carbon dioxide capture from limekiln flue gas pulp and paper mill (Mill A) linerboard B) using Monoethanolamine (MEA) absorption desorption process was carried out. We coupled the ASPEN Plus simulator with derivative-free optimization (DFO) tool to identify optimal configuration for minimizing total cost. The costs were calculated CAPCOST, modular program equipment cost estimation, appropriate coefficients. Eight degrees freedom, direct contact cooler stages, absorber stripper solvent lean loading, weight concentration, inlet temperature, amount CO 2 captured, selected flowsheet optimization. Additionally, we evaluated effect steam integration Sect. 45Q existing federal tax credit sequestration on costs. per tonne $64.9 Mill A $69.7 B. When are considered, dropped − $2.5 $2.6 B, respectively. sensitivity changes in flowrate, mol%, electricity MEA prices investigated. analysis results revealed that vary $5.9 captured.

Investigation of carbon dioxide capture from hydrogen using the thermal pressure swing adsorption process: Central composite design modeling
In this study pre-combustion capture of carbon dioxide from hydrogen was performed using a 5A zeolite adsorber. A one column thermal pressure swing adsorption (TPSA) process was studied in the bulk separation of a CO2/H2 mixture (50:50 vol%). The adsorption dynamics of the zeolite bed were investigated by breakthrough experiments to select the suitable range for operational factors in the desig...
متن کاملCapture of carbon dioxide from ambient air
Carbon dioxide capture from ambient air could compensate for all carbon dioxide emissions to the atmosphere. Such capture would, for example, make it possible to use liquid, carbon-based fuels in cars or airplanes without negatively impacting the climate. We present a specific approach based on a solid sorbent in the form of an anionic exchange resin, that absorbs carbon dioxide when dry and re...
متن کاملExergy and Energy Analysis of Effective Utilization of Carbon Dioxide in the Gas-to-Methanol Process
Two process models are used to convert carbon dioxide into methanol. These processes have been extended and improved using Aspen Plus simulator software. Both processes are found in the CO2 correction system. In this machine, the desired synthesis gas is produced in a flexible configuration. At the same time, the conversion of CO2 to hydrogen via a copper-based catalyst ha...
